1. Q - What is this site about?
A - This site is about Arashi. If you know who they are - you know the
answer. If you don't know who they are - it's pointless to answer. Go
Google or Wiki it. |
1.a. Q. - Who made this site?
The original owner was Lady's Delight. She felt she was unable to maintain
the site and xiaowanzi offered to take it over in order to keep it alive.
xiaowanzi is now too busy in order to update regularly, so sableheart
currently maintains the site. |
2. Q - How can I download files?
A - Near every file there is a link or several links. It may be "Up-F",
"Up", "MU" or something else. Usually when you click
on the links - there is page where you may find the final link to download
file.
If a file has been deleted or is temporarily unavailable, please notify
us. Usually temporarily unavailable files are fine after a while, but
sometimes it stays like that for ages.
Please note that many people have contributed links to the site. It is
not possible to fix all link problems, especially if someone else has
uploaded the file. |
3. Q - What do "Up-F",
"Up", "MU" etc. means?
A - It's short name of the site where this file was uploaded.
Up-F - Up-file
Up - Uploading
MU - Megaupload
SS - Sendspace
GSh - GigeShare
MF - Mediafire
DS - Divshare
FS - FileSend |
4. Q - I can't download from Divshare (DS)
or Uploading!
A - DS has changed its downloading policy, and the downloads for a particular
account are limited per month. If you are going to download from DS, it
is better to do it early in the month. Also, take note of the date that
the account is set to be renewed.
Uploading seems to have disappeared, so all the Uploading linkd are effectively
dead. I don't know what the official word is, so for now they will stay
up on the site.

5. Q - How can I download from "Up-F",
"Up" or "MU"? There are no free slots for my country.
A - Try to update this page couple times or download later.
MU:
1. Near the message about "no free slots" you can download and
install toolbar, it will allow you to get free slots.
2. Or try this: Start-> Execute (smth like this)-> type "regedit"->
next go there "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform" and made new line parameter
with name "MEGAUPLOAD 1.0", then re-start IE.
3. And also you can try new Mega Manager, but it will allow you only 3
downloads per day (for non-premium user).
All this ways are working for me, but I personally dont like the first
and especially the last.
Up - looks like there is no possibility to download from Up if all slots
are busy.
Up-F - I dunno as Up-F often changes it's downloading way |
6. I still can't download from
"Up-F", "Up", "MU" etc.
A - Well, sometimes it may be really impossible for you. If it's a small
file (about 100 mb), re-upload requests are accepted. As I'm doing all
this for free in my free time, I prefer comfortable ways to upload. |
7. Q - I downloaded all parts of file, but
its .001, .002 etc. files. How can I play it?
A - First of all you need HJSplit
or similar program (not guaranteed to work) to join all this parts in
one file. The program doesn't need to be installed, just open and choose
"Join". After that you can watch the file. |
8. Q - I can't watch the file
- no sound or video, this file is corrupted.
A - First of all:
1. Check if you fully downloaded all parts of file.They should all be
the same size except for the last one, or you can compare the stated filesize,
usually found on the same page as the final link for download.
2. Try a different media player. Light Alloy and VLC player are recommended.
3. Update your codecs. K-Lite
Codec has most codecs.
4. Download Super
encoder. And encode the file you can't watch. Don't need special settings,
just choose file format.
Usually that's enough to fix the problem. Sometimes files really may be
corrupted. If so I just re-upload the file. It is also possible that your
computer may be too old to play some files, especially the HQ ones. And
sometimes ppl just can't watch some files even after all this, I don't
know why it's so and of course I don't know how to fix it. |
9. Q - I downloaded parts of file but one
or several parts are not .001, .002 etc.
A - I don't know why, but sometimes it happens.
1. Check if you fully downloaded all parts of file. They should all be
the same size except for the last one, or you can compare the stated filesize,
usually found on the same page as the final link for download.
2. Rename files with wrong formats. For example you may use this way:
a. Open any Windows folder.
b. Go to "Tools" --> "Folder Options."
c. A dialog box pops up. Choose the second tab "View". Untick
the option "Hide extension for known file types".
d. Change file name to the one you can see before downloading (for example,
[Nama Arashi] Ep.01 - 2005.10.02.AVI.001).
e. Try to join again and change the folder properties back.
3. Some files have had the .avi extension removed in order to escape detection
from deletion bots. You'll have to add it back in the file name preferably
before joining, but it still works after joining. |
10. Q - How can I watch files with softsubs
(.srt etc)?
A - Make sure that your file name is the same as the softsubs. Also, a
codec such as VobSub has to be installed - usually included in K-Lite
Codec.
There aren't that many softsubs left on the site due to theft issues.
Also, if a file is subbed, please respect the subbers by not claiming
it as your own work. |
11. Q - I did not find answer on my question.
A - Ask it in guestbook. But if the answer to your question IS
in this FAQ - don't expect that we'll be nice. |
